Siesta Art Collection at Base Istanbul 2018

BASE, first performed in 2017 and attracted quite interest, brought art lovers with the projects of young artists nominated in Turkey between 20-23 December.

This year, 15 young artists participating to BASE '17 transformed their Siesta chairs into “art chairs” and leave their places to BASE ’18 artists. Using different production and material techniques, Siesta chairs meet new form. The exhibition also gave visitors an interactive experience with chairs and production.

BASE, bringing together the artworks of young artist candidates from all over Turkey under the roof of Galata Greek School between 20-23 December. 94 artists came together from 30 universities and 20 cities. They exhibited more than 100 works from different disciplines at the Galata Greek School.
